March 24 - 30 - Sunday to Saturday

Our week of weather has been contrasts with rain, sun and snow.  These two pictures were taken less than 24 hours apart.  Thursday afternoon for the first and Friday morning for the second. Flowers in front of the Family History Library - Thurs pm Those same flowers with some protected from the snow and others snow covered - Fri am Sunday March 24 It rained off and on most of the day today.   It sprinkled on the way to Music and the Spoken Word but was raining much harder after the broadcast on the way back to our apartment.   We attended church and enjoyed the sacrament meeting talks on the Doctrine of Christ.   We talked with Elder and Sister Dahlin on the way back to our apartments.   This gave us a chance to discuss some of the issues that we have as a zone leadership.   The main one is the imbalance of missionaries serving on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday versus Thursday, Friday and especially Saturday. Taken at dinner celebrating the Senior's 70th Wedding Anniversary One thing that Sister Tolman’s parents Rowland and Lois Senior had been looking forward to was having information about their 70th wedding anniversary printed in the weekly Church News.  They were disappointed when this type of information was no longer published effective several years ago. March 10 - 16 - Sunday to Saturday

Sunday March 10 Attended Music and the Spoken Word.   Saw the Texas Tracers from Victoria, Texas at the tabernacle and took their picture.   I helped several of their members last week and helped several on Tuesday this week before they returned home. We have been excited to follow the progress of the open house and dedication of the Rome, Italy Temple.   Once I heard that the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles would all be in Rome for the dedication, I anticipated a picture of them all in the visitor’s center with the statues of the Christus and the 12 apostles.    First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles Church leader's wives with Rome Temple in the background Attended our branch meeting and were planning on six of the young Elders for dinner but two of them were sick so we only had four.   Sister Tolman prepared a potato bar with enough baked potatoes for two apiece for eight.   The young Elders took some of the extra potatoes home
