Sunday April 21 We attended the Easter Broadcast this morning for Music and the Spoken Word and it was inspiring.   The choir was joined by the orchestra, bells at temple square and the Gabriel Trumpet ensemble.   All are shown in the picture below.   There was also an Easter program on Friday and Saturday nights which can be watched at this link .   We were able to watch part of this last night at the library. The forecast showed just a chance for rain so Sister Tolman took her umbrella and I left mine as the apartment.   During Sacrament meeting we had a hailstorm with a lot of wind.   Our Sacrament meeting was excellent as was our Sunday School.   Both focused on Easter themes.   We talked to our daughter Janny before leaving to pick up the Seniors.   We so much enjoy talking to our daughters while we serve here. We picked up mom and dad Senior to go out to Sister Tolman sister Jayne’s for Easter dinner.   Sister Tolman baked rolls.   It was really raining when

Sunday April 7. We really enjoyed General Conference for the morning session in the Conference Center.  Music and the Spoken Word, and wonderful messages from the speakers.  It was so great to be there.  We had excellent seats and were able to see the speakers and feel their spirit as they spoke to us.  Before the session started, I talked to a young woman in her 20’s who served her mission in Tahiti.  The man next to Sister Tolman in the picture was in the Tabernacle Choir at the same time as her uncle Mark Ethington.   We enjoyed the afternoon session in the Legacy Theater in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building.  General Conference was inspiring.  Eight more temples including another one in Utah in Tooele.  We are

We have seen this week how beautiful the gardens become around Temple Square, the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and the Church Office Building as April General Conference approaches. Here are several pictures taken on Thursday April 4. Sunday Mar 31 We attended Music and the Spoken Word and our Branch Meeting.  Took some pictures of the flower gardens by the Tabernacle which is a major contract to the way it looked on Friday.  See the contrast below . Sunday morning March 31       Friday morning March 29 Today I completed the research for the Richardson family that is connected to the Tindall family who are descendants of Jane Affleck who is my great grandmother Jane Affleck’s aunt.  What a great experience it was putting this family together.  The 1911 English census indicates that the family had 13 children with only 5 living at that time.  I had found 11 children. The parents were married in 1865 and the first child that I had found was born in 1869. With this clue
