Murals at the T4 Building at the MTC

There are twelve murals at the building which is used mostly for training.  These are designed to help the missionaries ponder about the experiences that are depicted.  Below are the murals with each mural preceded by an explanation.

Elder and Sister Tolman at Red Butte Garden on Monday August 26 Sunday August 25 We attended the choir broadcast this morning.   The choir and orchestra were joined by the Bells at Temple Square.   The Bells at Temple Square in the front   We were reminded of the song “Slow Down” sung by Sissel during the Pioneer Concert.  To hear it again access the link . Our church meetings were very enjoyable with our Sacrament meeting subject being the 13th Article of Faith and Sister Craven’s talk from April 2019 General Conference – Careful vs Casual.   The Priesthood and Relief Society lesson was based on Elder Soares talk “How Can I Understand”. We had our 5th floor dinner social at 5pm with four young Elders.   The food was a potato bar, broccoli, salad with brownies and ice cream for dessert. December 30 Sacrament Meeting Talks

Sister Tolman's talk During the Christmas holiday’s I read a short book titled The Miracle Maker and it got me to thinking.  What are the miracles in our lives and who is the miracle maker that makes them happen.   I then started thinking about what we will be studying next year and the combination of the two brought this talk into being. The book is about a sad and lonely little village where everything is dreary because everyone is dreary.  They hear a great man is coming and he will bring a great miracle to the town.  An old run down man walks into town carrying a chicken and everyone knows it can’t be him.  He rents an old run down house and starts to clean it up.  He takes a stone to the stonecutter and sells it to buy flour for bread and meal for his chicken and some seeds to plant.  He plants the seeds and feeds himself and his chicken.  This routine continues every day and the house starts to look better as the seeds sprout and the...

Taken at dinner celebrating the Senior's 70th Wedding Anniversary One thing that Sister Tolman’s parents Rowland and Lois Senior had been looking forward to was having information about their 70th wedding anniversary printed in the weekly Church News.  They were disappointed when this type of information was no longer published effective several years ago.
